Analysts at Konvoy have made ambitious projections for the highly anticipated release of GTA 6. The venture capital firm, which focuses on the gaming industry, expects the title to generate a staggering $7.6 billion in sales during its initial two months. With furious pre-orders and anticipation building, the sequel is set to quickly outpace its competitors.

The firm believes that Rockstar Games will break even on its rumored $2 billion investment within just 30 days. Konvoy forecasts that revenue from GTA+, microtransactions, and premium mod support will ensure a steady stream of income for the game over the long term. Unlike previous releases that relied on third-party tools such as FiveM, GTA 6 could launch with in-built premium mod support.

New milestone for gaming revenue

As Rockstar Games is owned by Take-Two Interactive, there’s been much speculation about pricing. While Borderlands 4 is expected to retail at a more conventional $70 price point, Konvoy predicts that GTA 6 could be priced at $80, with fans likely willing to pay the premium.

Konvoy’s projections are optimistic, assuming GTA 6 will exceed the performance of any game in history. Various other speculative estimates include features like 200-player lobbies, which could set new benchmarks in the gaming world. Both Xbox and PlayStation are hopeful that these projections will prove accurate.

The delay of the release date to May 26, 2026, has certainly built up more anticipation and may have financial implications. Regardless, with a staggered PC release, GTA 6 has the potential to become the ultimate system seller of this generation.
