ChatBlu, an artificial intelligence startup, has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Matador Venture Capital. Angel investors from Google and Amazon Web Services also participated.

ChatBlu was founded by Kristian Lukauskis and Alexander Dillon. The startup is developing an AI agent to automate inventory management for e-commerce sellers. The system will work across platforms like Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and WooCommerce.

Store owners will be able to give commands in natural language. The AI will then handle tasks like syncing listings, managing stock, and adjusting prices. This addresses a major challenge in e-commerce.

Poor inventory coordination causes $1.8 trillion in losses for retailers each year.

Finalizing $500K pre-seed funding

ChatBlu plans to launch its product in English-speaking markets in September 2025.

It will expand into the Hispanic e-commerce sector in 2026. The company was part of the Genoa Entrepreneurship School, a European accelerator program. Its team includes former employees of Amazon, Apple, Meta, and Adidas.

“E-commerce has evolved, but inventory management hasn’t kept up,” said co-founder Alexander Dillon. “ChatBlu is here to change that and set a new standard for how stores operate across platforms.”

The funding will go towards product development and the market launch. ChatBlu’s CTO is Sairam Vangapally, who previously worked as an engineer at Amazon and Shutterfly.

Matador Venture Capital is based in Dover, Delaware. The firm focuses on early-stage investments in pre-seed, seed, and Series A startups. It typically invests around $500,000 per deal.
